Steven Stewart has been performing card magic for 20 years. Raised in Grayson County, Kentucky, Stewart got his start in sleight of hand at the age of fifteen and sharpened his skills performing through high school and college.

In 2008 Stewart began his studies in music performance at WKU in Bowling Green, Kentucky where he studied violin. In his spare time he would perform card magic at various places on campus as a strolling/street magician.

 

During his time at WKU Steven performed for many house parties, multiple fundraising events for the Symphony at WKU, and performed as a strolling magician in between sets for the bands he played with. In 2013 he completed a BA with a concentration in violin, and would continue his self study of the magical arts.

 

In 2015 Steven made his way to Owensboro, Ky where he served (and currently serves) as the fiddle player for Dan Hall and The Blackford Creek Band where quickly made his name as one the areas top sleight of hand artists and fiddle players.

 

For the past 10 Years Steven has performed in the Kentucky tristate area as a strolling magician, and a closeup sleight of hand artist specializing in cards. He has had the wonderful experience to perform for many parties, private events, and during his shows with Blackford Creek. He boasts both classic and modern card magic, as well as a family friendly show suitable for all ages. His passion for magic is matched only by his passion for music and his love of bringing joy, mystery, and whimsy to the lives of the people he meets.
